CPA Firm Carr, Riggs & Ingram Announces Expanded Central Florida
Presence with FelsingRankin Merger

Carr, Riggs & Ingram (CRI), LLC, the fourth largest CPA firm in the Southeast, entered the Orlando market last year with the acquisition of Winter Park-based firm Cuthill & Eddy. Now, CRI has extending its Central Florida presence even further.

CRI has announced its merger with a long-established firm in Maitland, FelsingRankin, effective Jan. 1, 2009.  This expands the firm's Orlando-area operation from 21 to 32 staffers.  The combined firms will operate under the name Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC and all employees will work out of CRI's Orlando office located in Winter Park.

The addition of FelsingRankin's eight accountants brings CRI's total employee roster to more than 480, including 355 professionals of which 85 are partners. CRI manages the accounts of more than ~30,000 clients in 16 markets across the Southeast.

The Enterprise, Ala.-based firm is ranked as the fourth largest accounting firm in the Southeast and 35th largest in the country by Accounting Today. CRI has six practice units in Florida and has offices in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee. The firm plans to expand further into Texas, North Carolina and other states across the south.  "We have taken pride in providing quality services to our clients, and this partnership will only enhance that capacity," said Marlyn Felsing, who co-founded FelsingRankin in 1987 with Judy Rankin and specializes in advising small businesses.
